Celebrating the Missions of Two Amazing Returning Missionaries!!!

It is incredible the deep love and great admiration we develop for our missionaries.  As we approach the day when they are scheduled to return home it is always bitter sweet.  We can't help but be excited for the wonderful families that wait anxiously to greet them.  But we have heavy hearts as we give them a last hug and say good-bye to these dear friends.  These two leave behind many dear friends among the ranks of our missionaries and members across the mission.  They also leave behind many who they have taught the most precious truths on the earth to, and those who will be grateful into the eternities that they were willing to not just be here and serve, but were willing and "ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh.. a reason of the hope that is in (them)"(Peter 3:15)

Nine Wonderful New Missionaries Joined Us Today!!!

There is always excitement in the air on the days we get to go to the airport to pickup our new missionaries.  We look forward to their coming from the time we receive their information - usually shortly after they receive their call - so often we have anticipated meeting them for several months!

A little extra last minute help before leaving for the airport!

Following a dinner together we enjoyed a testimony meeting and short devotional.  Then each new missionary visited with President Christiansen and headed to bed. The following morning the trainers arrived, and after a morning of learning together the new companionships headed out to their areas to "Teach Repentance and Baptize Converts"!

Elder Anthony D. Perkins Joined our Mission Leadership Council!!!

On March 4th we were privileged to have Elder Anthony D. Perkins join our Mission Leadership Council.  Our council prepared carefully and it was a great experience.  The main focus of the council was on helping our investigators progress by helping increase their faith and their desire to repent.
