Randal J. and Mary Ann Christiansen

Randal Jule Christiansen, 53, and Mary Ann Markham Christiansen, six children, Provo Peak 7th Ward, Provo Utah East Stake: Maryland Baltimore Mission, succeeding President Mark L. Richards and Sister Karlan K. Richards. Brother Christiansen is a former stake president, bishop, Mutual program coordinator, temple ordinance worker, high councilor, elders quorum president, and missionary in the North Carolina Raleigh Mission. Owner and attorney, Law Offices of Randy J. Christiansen. Born in Provo, Utah, to Kent Harry Christiansen and Betty Lou Goodwin Christiansen.

Sister Christiansen is a former counselor in stake Relief Society and Young Women presidencies, ward Relief Society and Young Women president, counselor in a ward Primary presidency, and Gospel Doctrine teacher. Born in Provo, Utah, to Dixon Joseph Markham and Junece Jex Markham.

A little more of the story.....

     Up until now we have been pretty predictable - born, raised, married, attended school, raised our six daughters, and worked - all in Provo, Utah.  We met in the operating room at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center two weeks after Randy returned from his mission.  Randy was working as an orderly and attending school. Mary Ann was in her first semester of nursing school at Brigham Young University and on a rotation in the operating room.  We started dating and were married a year later in the Salt Lake Temple.  

We were blessed with six beautiful daughters.  Our oldest daughter, Juliett, was born with a rare syndrome and was not expected to live more than a few days. Through constant tender mercies we were blessed to have her for 15 miracle-filled years. We are so grateful to still feel her presence and influence constantly in our lives.  

Our next daughter, Ashley, is married to Chad Gollaher.  They have four beautiful children -  Kate, Emery, Crew and Harper. 

 Daughter number three is Abigale. She is married to Dallin Palmer and they have three darling children - Mitch, Juliette and Brady.  

Our fourth daughter married Trey Sexton in May of this year. 

Daughters five and six, Camille and Anna, are joining us in the Maryland Baltimore Mission!
